March 14th. Pi Day! In case you haven’t made the connection yet, here is a quick explanation: pi is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159 (and then a whole lot more numbers that go on and on forever without ever repeating). The first three numbers are 3.14 (March 14th) and everything about you is in pi- your birthday, the date of your first kiss, your phone number and address… Pi is a super creep.
Every March 14th, nerdy mathematicians and schoolteachers go wild celebrating Pi Day. Being that we are a group of crafty artists, you’re probably thinking, “but like, you’re not even good at math. Why do you care about some number?” You’re right and we kinda don’t. But, we care about the bakery down the street having 15 different flavors of pie to celebrate today, as well as giving you ideas on how to make some fun hair accessories so you can look awesome and fun no matter how you choose to party tonight.
Have fun and be safe, you crazy math enthusiasts!
